The Jerusalem municipality, when initiating the Chord Bridge project, was required by Air Force instructions, American airport authority FAA and international airport authority IACO safety standards to install airplane warning lights at the top of the bridge.

Since the only access to the top of the bridge is by helicopter, we searched for an airplane warning lighting solution that would be easy to install and require little maintenance to put at the top of the bridge towering 119m above the light train and pedestrian sidewalks.

The solution we found was in the form of 4 Kenson lights that can be seen from all directions, providing flashing lights at daytime, sundown and night time.
